We envisage a church that is:-

• A growing fellowship, where we will grow as disciples of Christ, where we will welcome the Holy Spirit and grow by the dynamic and transformative nature of the Spirit
• Inclusive, joyful, loving and caring, encouraging a sense of belonging through fellowship, through generous and gracious hospitality
• Actively committed to serving God’s mission in our neighbourhood and beyond, where the Kingdom of God is revealed through all we do
• Being an active partner in God’s global mission.

Our church seeks to:-

• follow the Wesleyan principle: Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can
  
• Be a loving Christian community by our active pastoral care and support. Offering and holding one another in loving prayer
  
• Serve the community by witnessing and proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ, by becoming a visible presence, developing relationships in the community, working with other denominations, and by using our gifts and resources wisely
  
• Discern God’s will through: a commitment to learning, sharing in Bible study, increasing awareness of God’s presence in worship and recognising God’s creativity in one another and the world around us.

We will fulfil the mission by

• Valuing our Methodist heritage to answer our unique call in the community to love and serve all those we encounter
  
• Facilitating opportunities for outreach and seeking to identify new and creative ways of engaging with a changing community
  
• Rejoicing in our identity as a church community and encouraging the gifts of each person regardless of age
  
• Developing opportunities to be inclusive by effective welcome, hospitality and pastoral care
  
• Recognising our need for prayer and Bible study to encourage a closer relationship with God
  
• Worshipping in a way that is alive and fresh, with an openness to experiencing God in new ways
  
• Caring for God’s created world, locally and globally; engaging with issues of environmental, social, economic and political justice, by giving practical and financial assistanc
  
• Finding ways of making the church more visible through our building, use of publicity, website and social media
  
• Continuing to develop the relationships with the Anglican and Catholic Church to work together as the body of Christ, to follow the loving example of Jesus Christ so that others might come to know God’s love
  
• Reviewing this statement each year and consider everything we do in light of our vision.
