Flower Festival - Saturday 1st August 10am - 3pm
At Effingham Methodist Church, we know that community is at the heart of a small village like Effingham. So this summer we’re excited to be arranging a Flower Festival with a theme of ‘Village Life’.
We can’t wait to see all the ways our wonderful community come together to celebrate Village Life.
The Festival itself will be open throughout the day on Saturday 1st August 2026, 10am – 3pm, where we will also serve refreshments.
Access will be free, with donations invited to support Leatherhead Youth Project (LYP), Effingham Methodist churches current charity of the year. LYP have recently celebrated their 20th birthday, and as well as their work in Leatherhead, work with multiple schools including those in Effingham. Welcome to Effingham Methodist Church
Welcome to the website of Effingham Methodist Church. We hope the website offers you a helpful snapshot of our community – which is ready and waiting to welcome you. We aim to offer all a warm welcome, because we firmly believe that just as God’s welcome extends to everyone, we also should live that out in the welcome we offer others. Please do come and visit us, or get in touch for more details of church life and our activities. If you ever have questions about Church, Christianity, faith, would like to meet with Dan, our minister (or one of the Churches ministry team) or are interested in coming along to something but a bit nervous about coming for the first time, please feel free to get in touch.
Our Minister is Dan Balsdon. Dan began his ministry with us in September 2023, having completed 5 years of ministry in Bognor Regis, West Sussex. He lives with his wife and 2 children, and in his spare time enjoys walking, gardening and lego. Alongside his ministry at Effingham, he is also the Minsiter at Leatherhead Methodist Church, Cobham United Church, and serves the South-East Methodist District as an Assistant District Chair.
We are part of the Methodist Church of Great Britain, and of a group of local Methodist churches known as the Gatwick and Mole Valley Circuit (part of the South-East District)
