About us
Since its formation in 1854, Effingham Methodist Church has always been a small & friendly congregation situated in The Street, at the heart of Effingham village between Leatherhead & East Horsley on the A246. We are part of the Dorking and Horsham Methodist Circuit.
We work with Churches Together in Effingham and Little Bookham to serve our local community.
We endeavour to deepen our faith not only through worship, but also by regular discussion, study & prayer meetings. We encourage participation in local activities & getting to know our neighbours in order that we may better serve the local community. We have excellent links with the local Anglican & Catholic Churches & together organise various events during the year.

The Chapel is an attractive flint building with a well-kept garden & is well known locally for its warm welcome to visitors & for fellowship & cake after services.
We are a community of Christian people committed to serving the village of Effingham and surrounding area. We would welcome anyone who wants to be part of a church or explore what the Christian faith might mean to them.
